Tinting
Tinting the brows and lashes is basically dying the hair,
but it is formulated specially for the skin on the face.
Q: How dark will my brows be?
A: We can adjust the darkness depending on the color used and how long we leave the dye on.
Q: How long will it last?
A: The tint lasts on the hair for 2-3 weeks. The skin tint* (which often occurs with tinting, and most people actually prefer it) usually fades after 3-4 days.
FYI: The tinting dyes the hair itself. Unlike mascara, it will not add length, thickness or curl when you get a lash tint.
*Skin Tint: often times, it is unavoidable (and often preferred) that the skin is tinted in the process. This results in the look of a filled brow (during a brow tint) or eye-liner (during a lash tint.) The skin tint usually fades after 3-4 days.
* Please remove contacts when receiving a Lash Tint. (I recommend to bring your glasses to wear for the rest of the day)
Tip: For best results, come with clean brows and lashes (no mascara, filler, gels, or eye liner).
Lash Lifts
A Lash Lift is a semi-permanent curl to your lashes.
The lift (curl) lasts 6-8 weeks.
Q: Is this the same as lash extensions?
A: No. A lash lift uses your own lashes: no extra length or extensions are added.
Q: How long does it last?
A: A lift lasts 6-8 weeks. After about 4 weeks, your lashes may fall a little (about half way), and by 6-8 weeks, they will go back down to the way they were.
Q: What sort of maintenance is required?
A: After the initial 24 hour post care, there is ZERO maintenance required. You may want to brush your lashes out every morning (as they may get a little criss-crossed while sleeping); I will send you home with a mascara wand if you need one.
Q: How long does the service take?
A: A lift takes approximately an hour to do; please allow 1 hour and 30 min for a lift and tint combo.
Prior to your Lift: For best results, come with clean lashes/eye area – no eye makeup or mascara (avoid using any on the day of service, if you can)
After your Lift: For 24 hours following your Lift, avoid wetting or applying products to the lashes. Hold off on your workout until the next day 🙂
* Please remove contacts when receiving a Lash Lift. (I recommend to bring your glasses to wear for the rest of the day)
** A heads up for those with twitchy eyes: Please be aware that a lift and tint involves quite a bit of immediate eye (lid and lash) manipulation. A silicone rod is used on the lash line during a lift to achieve the curl, and product is applied and removed several times during the service.
However! My bed is super comfy, I place a nice hot towel roll under your neck, my music is soothing, and the results are beautiful.
